Hey, try the VSS sensor on the gearbox if manual, (if automatic it takes speed from ABS sensors). I had a same problem with manual and just took out the VSS (beware – gearbox oil comes out) and turned it by hand while key in ignition – started working again.
You can also try cleaning the connector and connecting a different vss to confirm the issue with the sensor. If sensor is ok or changed, try different gauge cluster. Good luck !
When I start my car the dashboard is just showing airbag and door signs. And the fans and alternator are not working. I have an altezza beams 2000
